Contrary to perceptions, rapper Sarkodie has disclosed that his new song, ‘Sub Zero’, is not a diss song.

The song, he noted, is a regular song that he has released for his fans to enjoy and is not targeted at any individual.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with MzGee on TV3 New Day, the award-winning rapper cleared the air that the names being peddled around are just “comments.”

“People think that is a diss song, let me just [clarify] that I think in my whole life I have done probably two diss songs…” he said, indicating that ‘Zub Zero’ is not one of them.

Sarkodie refuted speculations on social media that the song, released on Monday, is directed at rappers Asem, Ball J and possibly dancehall act Shatta Wale.

The rapper laid down some guidelines for individuals who want to get his attention and probably get a diss song from him.

“If you want a diss song you need to humble yourself, come let’s sit down let’s have a conversation. Show respect…it’s a conversation that you need to humble yourself, come with your team, let’s sit down…find something, come and sort out so that we can really do it well,” he said.

“I am telling you that if you want a diss song this is what is going to happen,” he said believing strongly that, “…there is nobody that will go toe to toe with [me] at this point in my career…I’m not saying no one is doing well, you could really have bars…but it’s just not worth the back and forth. That’s what I am saying,” Sarkodie explained further.
