It’s been seven weeks of intense rap competition in the Connect FM Community Street Rap Battle Season IV, which began with twenty rappers in Sekondi-Takoradi.

The journey to find a rap king for Season IV began on Saturday, July 31.

The first week saw two rappers, Mr. Crayon and FlexxyWan evicted due to their unimpressive showing.

In the second week, Cocoa GH was crowned the King of the Night while Lil Sackey was awarded with Daywa Power of the Viewer Award for the night.

The only female rapper in the competition, Esi Y Not, was evicted alongside Kobi Flex, Ekouw Thunder and Kofi Chapters.

In Week 4, Cocoa GH pulled another great performance and was crowned King of the Night for the second time.

Unfortunately, the journey ended for Awaga and Kwaku Poloo while AK Alpha was awarded Daywa Power of the Viewer to save him from eviction.

In Week 5, Daywa Power of the Viewer went to Prince AK while Walley Bonsu and Kin Ropa got evicted.

Your Majesty was crowned King of the Night after pulling a fantastic surprise with his rap prowess and as well won the Daywa Power of the Viewer award in Week 6, which was an eviction free week.

Week 7 was to determine who qualifies to the grand finale.

The ten remaining rappers were paired in groups to perform on social issues facing the country like corruption, illegal mining, road accident, sanitation and coronavirus, among others.

The rappers were strong at it and gave it their best shot.

Wasky Burner, Lil Sackey, AK Alpha and the youngest rapper in this year’s competition, Majesti Rapper, couldn’t make it to the Finale.
