Entertainment pundit,Sally Mann-Frimpong has expressed her thoughts on the stage presence and crowd appeal of Ghanaian music Landlord Sarkodie and the latest sensation, Black Sherif during the recently-held VGMAs.

Sally who appeared as a panellist on Showbiz 927 on 3FM with Caleb Nii Boye was unequivocal about Sarkodie’s crowd and commandeering skills but believed that he was not an extraordinary performer in comparison to Black Sherif.

While acknowledging that Sarkodie may not be deemed a great performer in the traditional sense, she emphasized his exceptional talent for captivating audiences and earning their respect.

“To me, I think Sarkodie is not an extraordinary performer but he knows how to move the crowd, that’s the difference. He knows how to move the crowd. I think he has an aura around him that commands get up when you see him,” she submitted.

Comparing him to fellow artist Black Sherif, Frimpong highlighted the contrasting styles between the two performers and announced the ‘Kweku Killer’ as the better performer of the two.

“When you see the energies of the two of them, I am talking about Black and Sarkodie, Blacko is a performer,” she indicated.

Frimpong humorously questioned whether Sarkodie possesses some form of mystical powers or “juju” that compels everyone to rise and acknowledge his presence.

“Sark is so decorated,  I am coming look at me he comes in and everyone wants to get up. I don’t know if it’s juju or whatever and everyone gets up, the landlord is here,” she humorously posited.

“He is not someone to rate as a great performer but he’s someone who is able to move the crowd and bring respect to himself,” she added.
