Praye Tintin with mother[/caption] Hiplife artiste Praye Tintin, known in private life as Nana Kwame, laid his mother to rest on Thursday April 12, 2018 in Accra. The mother, Edna Samira Tijani affectionately called Aunt Edie, died Wednesday afternoon at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness. The funeral service was held under the Islamic tradition because the mother converted to Islam before her death. [caption id="attachment_80995" align="aligncenter" width="992"] Mourners at the funeral service[/caption] Families, friends and sympathizers gathered at the Nima residence of her husband where the burial service took place. Auntie had been in and out of Korle Bu for treatment after she was diagnosed with liver and kidney failure. She was on dialysis and recently revealed that she was fed up with the treatment, Praye Tintin told 3news.com. “My mother was my best friend, my body-body who always advise me,” he recalled. Auntie Edie died at the age of 61.     Praye Tintin was a member of music trio Praye: Eugene Baah aka Choirmaster or Praye Honeho; Big J Cartel known as Praye Tietia and Nana Kwame, Praye Tintin.
