[Photos] Onua FM shuts down Gyakiti with Easter street jam

The streets of Gyakiti, located within the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern region came to life Saturday night when the Onua FM Easter show team took over with a street jam. For over five hours, hundreds of Easter revelers from Accra, Kumasi, Gyakiti and its neighbouring towns were treated to one hit tune after the other as they danced the night away. Underground artiste from Gyakiti and neighbouring towns also took advantage of the Onua FM Street Jam to introduce their songs and make a statement to the many who thronged the party ground. Some underground rappers also went head to head with each other in a rap battle. Participants were not left out, receiving handsome reward from sponsors of the show. For hours, revelers who attended the street jam danced and partied through to early hours of Sunday. Football gala Earlier in the day, the Onua FM Football gala took place at the Gyakiti Presby school park with nine teams competing against each other. The nine teams represented Gyakiti and towns like Adjena, Adumasa amongst others. The Onua FM Easter show is a four-day event at Gyakiti to mark Easter celebrations. The annual event which began some two years ago is aimed at assembling revelers from all over Ghana to party and enjoy the many natural resources in Gyakiti. This year’s event kicked off with an Akwaaba jam on Friday, April 19, and will be crowned with a beach jam on Easter Monday, April 22.
