TV3 Mentor season 3 winner, Erico has recently revealed that Ghanaian actress and TV host, Nana Ama McBrown brought him to the realization that acting was not his field.

In an interview on Onua Showtime which airs on Onua TV every Sunday, the Ghanaian musician shared how Nana Ama McBrown who was hosting him on the show had slapped him three times on set some time back which he could not bring himself to forget.

“I was moving into acting but you (Nana Ama McBrown) did something to me that made me opt out. You slapped me about three times that I can never forget. I was like when I come on here, I’ll say it for us to laugh,” he revealed jovially.

According to him, “That day when you slapped me, I realized that acting is not for me. It’s not my field. I got discouraged and said I will not act again but God bless you because at the time, you gave me exposure.”

Taking advantage of the platform given him, Erico highlights the details of the launching of his new song, “Aseda”, adding how he has been doing music since his time on Mentor came to an end.

“I’ve been doing music ever since I left Mentor and up until now, I still am. God willing, on August 20, I’m launching a new one called, “Aseda” which will take place at New Life Kingdom Chapel at Santa Maria at 4pm. The launching comes with free entry,”he stated.

Erico further pointed out that he has a new support system that is helping him in his space, linking it to how his new song gets people emotional whenever they hear it.

“Some people hear my music whilst some others don’t but by the grace of God, I have about 3 pastors who are rallying behind me and pushing me little by little. When I sing “Aseda”, so many people want to cry,” he concluded.
