After a successful 2020 career revival, MzVee has released ‘Coming Home’ featuring Nigeria’s Grammy award-winning Tiwa Savage.

‘Home Coming’, which was released on Friday, October 8 and premiered on TV3, is already making waves on musical platforms gaining over 14,000 views on YouTube less than 24 hours before its release.

In an exclusive interview with Berla Mundi on TV3 New day, the singer said the song was inspired by marriage processes in the African setting.

Her ‘Come and see my Moda’ featuring Yemi Alade in 2018 tells her lover to see her mother if he is interested in her.
She expressed that since she has informed her man to come and see her mother, he is now on his way ‘Coming Home’ to do the needful marital rites. This, she said, denotes the title of the song.

The beautiful piece is a special collaboration as its lyrics and vocals trip on a unique melodic rhythm produced. And with a commendable track record of making hit songs with Ghanaian and Nigerian artists, ‘Home Coming’ is well represented.

Born Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda, the Afro-pop singer, said it had been five months since her last release. And her latest is to essentially open up the lines of communication with fans, strengthen the fan base and give them (fans) the best.

Speaking on her collaboration with Tiwaa, MzVee revealed that she made contact with her at an event. She described the Nigerian singer as a hardworking personality who does not compromise anything for her music, even though she is entertaining.

“Tiwaa is fun. She does not play with her work,” she said.

MzVee mentioned that her music does not only entertain, but it also informs people and impacts lives positively.
Like her song ‘Natural Girl’ released in 2014, educated people, especially young girls, to accept themselves and remain authentic regardless of what the majority propagates.

“Sometimes, showing your face on only Tv is not enough. You need to have a face-to-face interaction with these young people to make more impact in their lives.”

The Ghanaian singer revealed that young people needed proper role models to help cushion their life goals and objectives.
MzVee visited the Accra Girls’ Senior High School earlier this year as part of her high school tour to impact the lives of young people who have a passion for music. She recorded songs with some students who were good singers and who showcased their talents.

MzVee’s “Coming Home” is available on all musical platforms (digital inclusive).
