Ghanaian musician Kwame Nsiah-Apau, known by his stage name as Okyeame Kwame has praised Afua Asantewaa despite her not being successful at her longest singing record attempt.
Okyeame Kwame in an exclusive interview with 3News applauded Afua for her current exploits and wished her well in her endeavours.
“I think that she’s done very well. She has made these thons popular in Ghana and whether she is approved by Guinness or not I think she is still our hero. She made our Christmas very nice and she is now a big celebrity and I like what she is doing with her new found fame. I wish you well Afua,” Okyeame Kwame noted.

The Guinness World Record on Friday, February 23 announced Afua’s unsuccessful attempt at the Sing-a-thon record.
“Unfortunately, Afua’s Guinness World Record attempt for the longest singing marathon was not successful but we hope that she will make another attempt soon.”
“We wish Afua the best of luck with any future record attempts,” the GWR tweeted.

Afua Asantewaa after her singing marathon has landed various ambassadorial deals.
Last week, Response One Ghana Limited, a pioneering security services announced the signing of Afua Asantewaa as its new brand ambassador.
Response One Ghana Limited signed Asantewaa to a three-year renewable contract.
This collaboration marks a noteworthy move by Response One to extend its premier security services to safeguard Asantewaa’s residence in Accra after she was burgled days before her Guinness World Record Sing-a-thon attempt last December.
The record attemptee also has an ambassadorial deal with Ike City Hotel located at Community 25 marking deal just five days after signing with Response One Ghana.

Per the agreement effective February 21, 2024, between Ike City Hotel, a modern-day hospitality facility at Dawhenya, and Mrs. Afua Asantewaa O Aduonum (Singathon)-Ambassador, Asantewaa is tasked with representing and promoting the hotel across various media platforms, including social media, as outlined in the terms of the agreement.
