Ghanaian afrobeats artiste Kelvyn Boy has disclosed that he has shun smoking and urged the youth to avoid drug abuse.

“your favorite artiste smokes for crying out loud. But I’ve quit. Don’t do drugs guys,” he tweeted.

The ‘Down flat’ hit maker on Tuesday, January 30 tweeted to debunk some misconception surrounding smokers.

In his tweet, he urged Ghanaian to dismiss the stereotype that smokers are inherently dirty and rowdy.

He stressed that some of the wealthiest and cleanest individuals are heavy smokers, hence the perception about smoking is not true.

“smokers are dirty and rowdy…maybe then but I know some of the richest and cleanest of humans who are heavy smokers Dead that thought today.”

Kelvyn Boy on how his music career begun

Last year, Kelvyn Boy in an interview with Nana Ama McBrown on Onua Showtime, shed light on how he established his career in music.

He indicated that his career began in the Seventh-day Adventists church.

 

According to him, singing is an innate talent and he needed no schooling.

Honestly, my father used to sing in the church. I come from the SDA church. Going back in time, I can’t pinpoint a particular period in my life where I learnt  music. It just entered me.”
