It was a night of honouring Ghanaian music and musicians on Mentor X week 9. After performing a song by our very own Stonebwoy titled, ‘Gbedegbede’. DSL stole every single heart in and out of the studio. His attitude, composure, and vocals on stage got all the judges and audience chanting his name.
According to the judges Kwabena Kwabena, Richie Mensah, Adina and DJ Rab, he is the definition of a star and a professional artist. Kwabena Kwabena took a picture with the star DSL for future references.
Kwabena Kwabena excitedly said, “You know what, I need a picture with you right now. His performance, for me, is a standing ovation. Week in week out, DSL gives us the definition of who an artist is. I love his humility in music. He is definitely a star!”
“You shouldn’t have come to a reality show. You should have searched for my number and just come to Lynx… I think you were born to be a star,” said Richie Mensah
“I have written a lot. So listen, you are a star. I don’t need to understand Ewe in order to connect with the song. It’s methodical, intentional, and it’s just genius.” Adina added.
DJ Rab loved DSL’s energy, and he seconded all the comments from the judges. According to the judges, DSL deserved the Star Performer award, undisputedly.
