Media General nominated as Most Eminent Media Brand for Nat'l Communication Awards

Leading media conglomerate Media General has been nominated as the Most Eminent Media Brand of the Year for the maiden edition of National Communication Awards. The Awards, which are being organized by RAD Communications Limited, is under the theme ‘Communications for Organizational and National Development’. It seeks to recognise the efforts of communication companies, teams and individuals who through their efforts have used communication to champion organizational and national development. Media General since its inception through brands such as TV3, 3FM, 3news.com, Onua FM, Akoma FM, Connect FM and Adesa Productions Limited has contributed towards championing development. Aside being nominated for the Most Eminent Media Brand of the Year Awards, some of its staff and programmes also earned nominations in other categories. 3FM Drive host Giovani Caleb made it for the Radio Personality of the Year category, with the 3FM Drive bagging a nomination as the Radio Programme of the Year. Sports presenter Juliet Bawuah has also been nominated as Sports Journalist of the Year. News anchor Natalie Fort and New Day host Johnnie Hughes also made it into the TV Personality of the Year category. The morning magazine show itself, New Day, has been nominated as TV Programme of the Year while kids reality show Talented Kidz was also nominated for Media Programme/Event of the Year. The National Communication Awards promises to serve as a springboard for many who aspire to reach higher heights with their work and with this being the inaugural awards, it also provides a platform for recognizing the great works and impact of communication practitioners in Ghana.
