Kwesi Arthur says his appetite for fufu will push him into cassava farming

With a growing trend of established Ghanaian entertainers finding alternative sources of income, the Tema-based rapper, Kwesi Arthur has revealed he would be going into farming. Hammer, Samini, John Dumelo, Trigmatic and others in showbiz have all in the past years made great strides in other areas outside their expertise. Speaking to TV3 after his BET experience where he lost out to South African’s SJAVA in the Viewers’ Choice Best New International Act category, Kwesi Arthur, explained why he intends to pursue farming aside his musical career Read:Twitter buzzes for Kwesi Arthur as he loses out on 2018 BET Award Unlike Samini and John Dumelo who are into onion farming and animal farming respectively, Kwesi Arthur said he intends to go into “bankye” (cassava) farming. “I have passion for a whole lot of things but I might for into farming, like bankye farming,” the ‘Grind day’ hit maker said Wednesday The Tema-based rapper explained intention to go into cassava farming is borne out of his insatiable taste for “fufu”. “I like fufu a lot”, he said. He added: “cassava has a lot of potential and so I have even been discussing with Mango [Manager] to go into farming and all that stuff”. He said his farming ambition will not cause him to drift from music, saying he will still be committed to doing more music and at the same time inspire himself and others.
