Ghanaian High-life and Afrobeat artiste Kuami Eugene, has once again raised eyebrows at the 2023 BET Awards for his choice of outfit.
The “cryptocurrency” singer donned a $250 STALLION Leather jacket and pants from Horse Power, pairing them with a white shirt, tie, and white boots.
However, his fashion statement left fans divided and sparked a flurry of reactions.
While some fans applauded Kuami Eugene’s daring fashion sense, many others were unimpressed and called him out for his red carpet look.
One fan expressed their disappointment online, “He for learn how to dress why u go take this attire go BET,” he posted.
While another questioned his dress sense for choosing such attire for the BET Awards.
Another fan likened his outfit to that of a “Kumasi High School student’s perfect uniform,” suggesting that there were better color combinations available to him.
“If you are being fair in the first place the moment u sight this picture what comes in your mind….there were alot of colours to combine with buh this looks more like Kuhis uniform,” he commented.

The inclusion of a tie in his ensemble also drew criticism from fans, with one asking, “So what was the purpose of the tie?”
Another sarcastically commented, “Leather jacket and a tie… just a bit of mismatch.”
Some fans even went as far as comparing him to ‘Indiana Jones’
However, amidst the negative feedback, a few fans commended Kuami Eugene’s bold fashion choice. One fan remarked, “Fashion is a calculation…..keep rocking on Rockstar?”

Kuami Eugene in the past has revealed that he pays no heed to his critics, asserting that he considers himself a fashion guru.
During an interview on the Delay Show on TV3, he defended his fashion sense, disclosing that was crucial in show business.
“I know how to dress, I’m an Akyem man. My fashion sense is not to impress others. It’s showbiz, sometimes getting people to talk is part of it” he added.
