The Konongo Arts and Youth Association in the Asante Akim Central in the Ashanti region is set to celebrate its maiden edition of Konongo Arts and Youth Annual Carnival termed “KAYANIVAL“ this festive season.
The three(3) days event slated from 25th December to 27th December 2023 will be a street carnival in the principal streets of Konongo with revelers adorned in prescribed costumes, among the events include street donation, Artiste night, candlelight vigil and fufuo party.
Speaking in an interview the organizer of this carnival Kingsley Kofi Owoahene Frimpong said the main idea behind the programme is to empower the youth in Asante Akim Central through arts, and entertainment and promote tourism in the area.
“ With this KAYANIVAL , we can empower the youth the Asante Akim Central through arts and entertainment as well as the tourism sites in the Municipality, “ he said
He urged all stakeholders and youth in Asante Akim Central to get involve in this KAYANIVAL to help in achieving their target.
“ I call upon all stakeholders and youth in Asante Akim Central to partake in this carnival this festive season in order for us to win together “ he stated
Konongo Arts and Youth Annual Carnival ( KAYANIVAL) is the brainchild of Konongo Arts and Youth Association; the young and energetic citizens of Asante Akyem Central Municipality.
The Association has our hundred ( 100) members with the vision to use the carnival to spice up festive seasons especially Christmas in Konongo and to promote development as well.
