Joshua Alabi reveals his love for Amakye Dede; guess his favourite song

Ghanaian academic and politician who served as the first Vice-Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra, Prof. Joshua Alabi has revealed highlife maestro Amakye Dede as his favourite Ghanaian musician. Prof. Alabi in an exclusive interview with award winning, Johnnie Hughes said Amakye Dede has several hit songs that would move him to the dancing floor anytime they are dropped. “My all-time favourite artiste is Amakye Dede and my favourite song is Mmaa pe sokoo, yes that song” he said with a broad smile. The former Member of Parliament of the Krowor Constituency in the Greater Accra from 1997 to 2001, also revealed that he was part of the Northern Regional Basketball team in his secondary school days. He thinks Ghanaians are paying too much attention to only football to the detriment of lesser known sports, adding “it is high time we paid attention to all sports in the country and develop them just as we are trying to do for football”. Having had a stint with the legislature and in the field of academic, Professor Joshua Alabi is currently among those who have openly declared their intention to lead the National Democratic Congress (NDC) into the 2020 general elections.
