Ghanaian Afro-pop and dancehall sensation, Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda better known by her stage name MzVee, has shared her journey towards her self-determination, shedding light on the inspiration behind her latest track, ‘Destiny.’
During her interview on Tv3 New Day on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, the award-winning artiste emphasised her commitment to taking charge of her own life, stating she won’t allow anyone to steer her life in any other direction.
“I’m taking control of my life and I am the one in charge of it. Nobody else can move my life in any other way. Just me, just God” she stated with emphasis on her new song.
MzVee also disclosed she has received numerous messages from people and some public figures expressing their positive sentiments about the song.
“The song is doing really well; I really enjoy the feedback I’m getting. The first person who gave me really cool feedback was Kafui Dey. He would just be there and send me one line of the song and I kept getting calls like you know; ‘this song is very inspiring’. all the comments are like ‘Oh my God, you woke me up this morning, the message is amazing, the message is strong’. I like the feedback I’m getting” the singer stated.
The singer concluded by announcing she had initiated a dance challenge for the song. She revealed that the winner of this challenge will receive a cash prize, various products, and a unique opportunity to dance with her. Additionally, the selected dance routine will become the official dance associated with the song.
