Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has announced he will no longer be part of the Ghana Music Awards henceforth.  In a Facebook post Thursday, the controversial artiste broke the news of his decision the same time the organisers, Charterhouse, were locked up in a press conference to among other things announce sanctions against him and archrival Stonebwoy for a confusion they caused at the 20th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. “Upon sober reflections of events in recent times and having made broader consultations, I wish to announce that I will not be part of the Ghana Music Awards scheme going forward. God bless!”, he posted on Facebook. The rivalry between the two artistes got out of hand in the early hours of Sunday after Shatta Wale and his entourage  attempted to mount the stage uninvited to join Stonebwoy who had won  the 2019 Reggae and Dancehall Artiste of the Year award. But they were resisted by the security and some members of the Stonebwoy camp which culminated in a disruptive scuffle grounding the event to a temporary halt. Watch:[Video] Guns on stage! The organisers lodged a complaints leading to the arrest and arraignment of the two artiste for offensive conduct. They have since been granted bail.
