Ghanaian sound engineer, Kaywa has said that he is proud of himself regardless of the number of artistes who are no longer a part of his record label.

Speaking to Giovanni Caleb and AJ Sarpong on 3FM Drive, the Ghanaian music producer indicated that what has kept him going all these years is the disappointment he has faced.

“It’s the disappointment that keeps telling me there’s more room for improvement. The more I feel disappointed about something, the more I come to the realization that we can go deeper and make it work,” he shared.

The boss of Highly Spiritual Music added that he believes that every individual has been called to be a destiny helper so he was fine whenever his efforts were not appreciated.

“I’m not one who just lets things go. We are created to be destiny helpers so we help destinies to become who they are and if for one reason or the other, we are not appreciated, we’re cool,” he stated.

Kaywa also mentioned that though some artistes he worked with in the past left his label, he still feels really proud of what he has done in the music industry.

“I don’t feel disappointed. If I look at these guys, I am very very proud of myself. My excitement is that I have been able to produce hit artistes not hit songs. When you mention their names, we’ve been behind them and we’re very proud of that,” he stated.

When asked who he’ll bring back on his label when given the chance, Kaywa disclosed that, “Unfortunately, that is not our style. We believe that the platform is always for freshers. When you have enjoyed it for a while and you leave, when we bring you back, it looks like we don’t know what we are about. We’d rather push a lot of energy in brand new acts but we do maintain a healthy relationship with them.”
