Guinness World Record: Heavy downpour wet studios of beatmaker attempting record

Heavy rains in the dawn of Friday, March 22 interrupted a beatmaker attempting the record for the longest recording marathon (Rec-A-Thon).

Tema-based beat maker Forqzy Beatz begun his record attempt on Thursday, March 21 at the forecourt of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly aiming to record for five days to break the current record.

Forqzy Beatz has done 10 hours of his attempt and was in action at the time his established studio was wet by the heavy downpour on Friday dawn.

The current record for the longest recording marathon is 40 hours and was achieved by Blaqk stereo and Near Protocol of Nigeria.

He recorded with 30 artistes between June 25 to June 27, 2022.

Meanwhile, Sharon Dede Padiki is currently embarking on a paint-a-thon and will end by close of Friday, March 22.

The award-winning artist aims to etch her name in the GWR by painting for 168 hours to surpass the current record of 100 hours.

The current record for the longest painting marathon is held by Chancellor Ahaghotu, a Nigerian who undertook the painting marathon in Atlanta, Georgia, USA for 100 hours from October 26 to October 30,2023.
