Popular Gospel artiste Navah has cleared the air on his controversial grand “hook” which caused the Western Region talking during his performance at the Made In Taadi Concert in December 2021 at the Takoradi Technical University Park.

The reigning Western Music Awards 2021 Artiste of the Year, during his performance, chanted loudly “If You Don’t Know Jesus You Don’t Know WhatsUp”. This got the entire region talking.

A cross section of the people in the Region insinuated his statement as an insult to the secular music fraternity.

Speaking with Ato Kwamena Otoo D’Gem on Connect FM’s 971 Countdown show, Navah explained, “What people don’t know is that in 2013 when I was trying to establish myself as an artiste, I recorded a song that featured Casta Troy who is a secular musician and I made mention of the hook ‘If you don’t know Jesus you don’t know whatsup’. This is what I’ve held unto in all my performances throughout my University days till now. Anytime I do funk and RnB music I try to fix it in because I feel it is a message and I need to pass on to whoever listens to me.”

He added, “An ambassador for Jesus, every moment is an opportunity to sell Jesus to the world because He is the best brand I could ever sell.”

Navah is expected to release a single from his recent live recorded studio album titled ‘All His works shall praise Him’.
