King Promise and Kweku Flick have picked their sides on Samini’s comments that the official theme song for the Ghana Black Stars at Qatar 2022 World Cup is wack.

Although Samini did not specify which song he considers ‘bad’, King Promise has sent a cryptic post since the debate went viral. King Promise, whose Black Stars (Bring Back The Love) has been accepted and supported by the Ghana Football Association, left a message.

He wrote, ” Idols become Rivals … Sad.”

Kweku Flick, on the other hand, has shown support towards Samini’s comments. Earlier Samini had singled out Kweku Flick’s song with Small God as an example of a befitting song for the Ghana Black Stars in the same breath used to thrash the officially endorsed songs.

“@kwekuflick did the joint already… thot they would have called the young man and just done the right thing. Simple. Maybe this will make sense to you. It’s not about me. It’s the track oooooo Tom. 3ny3 d3 baako s3i. But we go learn am, Chale.”

Showing his appreciation for the recognition, Kweku Flick retweeted Samini’s earlier tweet, saying, ” Godfather has spoken. I am very proud of doing the song. Thank you, legendary @samini_dagaati”

Samini has dropped his version of what he believes is a better theme song for the Ghana Black Stars. He calls it ‘WinAfricaWin’, available on all streaming platforms.
