Afro Connect, which took place at the Gold Coast Restaurant, climaxed with an international Jollof War between Ghana, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Nigeria, Senegal and Liberia. Unfortunately, the host country conceded to its neighbour, Ivory Coast, as the originators of the best jollof on the continent.

Gold Coast Restaurant was filled with laughter, fun, fashion and food as different African cultures interacted into one big family. The stage was manned by Giovani Caleb, Caleb Nii
Boye and Johnnies Hughes.

How did Ghana lose the Jollof War? 15 astute judges were randomly handpicked to fairly end this culinary war.

After tasting and sampling tasty La Vonce tomato paste jollof cooked in Frytol, Ivory Coast took first place, followed by the Gambia. A tight completion between Senegal and Ghana issued for the third and fourth place, respectively.

Naija no dey carry last, but they did with Liberia coming in the 5th position.

Patrons had a wonderful time eating, drinking, dancing and playing games. Not forgetting interacting with their favourite celebrities and tv personalities.

Once again, congratulations to the Ivory Coast for taking their place on the throne as the King of Jollof!
