Gospel sensation Ewura Abena has announced her first event after many years of what she calls “obscurity”.
She is set to launch her latest album next month.
‘Rebirth’ (Mary’s Child) was released in March to crown months of returning to the music scene. She had released ‘This far’ which received three nominations at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
‘Rebirth’ recounts the story of Mary’s birth to the Saviour, Jesus Christ, comparing that to her ‘rebirth’ into the Ghanaian gospel music scene.
The album launch will take place at the Believers House of Worship International on the Spintex Road in Accra on Sunday, August 6.
She has expressed belief in God for a “wonderful time” for all patrons the launch day.
“I’m excited to announce my 1st event after many years of obscurity,” she wrote on Saturday, July 1.
“My new album ‘REBIRTH (Mary’s Child)’ is ready to be launched. I am believing God for a wonderful time in his presence on that day.”
