Patapaa says he wants “billions” to be at the venue[/caption] ‘One Corner’ hitmaker Patapaa has promised fireworks as he makes his debut in Ghana Meets Naija this year. The musical show, which pitches the best of Ghana against the best of Nigeria, is scheduled to come off on June 9, this year. The 2018 edition dubbed Rescue Mission was launched on Tuesday. It will be the eighth edition of the ‘contest’. Leading Ghana’s charge will be multiple award-winning dancehall artiste Stonebwoy. He will be joined by the likes of Yaa Pono, King Promise, Kwami Eugene, Patapaa, Kidi, all making their debuts. Patapaa has assured fans that his performance on stage that day will be “fire”. “For the first time, as I say, something is going to happen on the 9th of June,” he told TV3’s Owusu Worae on the sidelines of the launch. According to him, he will be on stage for at least 30 minutes with between eight and 15 tracks to be performed. He wants “billions” of fans to troop to the Fantasy Dome of the Trade Fair Centre in Accra for the show. Nigeria will be represented by Wizkid, Mr Eazi and Mayorkun, among others.
