Ghana’s Miss Tourism 2014 Belvy Naa Teide Ofori, has launched a career in music while flying high the country’s flag on the world stage in the fashion industry.

The versatile, intelligent and bold belle, who is currently in Philippines to represent Ghana at the 2018 Miss Earth beauty pageant, has released three singles under Eko Music label.

“I am also happy to announce the birth of my musical career with the release of my first Extended Play (EP) made up of three powerful songs” she announced at a news conference before jetting off from Ghana last Sunday.

She gave the titles of the tracks as Kiss Me which features Wutah Afriyie and produced by Jaywander, Mi Ke Bo (Me and You) and No Parking which features Trigmatic.

Simple Beats produced both Kiss Meand Mi Ke Bo

“Kiss Me”, she explained, represents a woman inviting her man “to love her and kiss her, telling him in a manner that a confident man would tell a woman”.

In “Mi K3 Bo”, Naa Belvy finds her man’s love sweet, for which reason she assures him of her love wherever he goes.

“No Parking” urges women to be bold to tell their men that “we hate no parking” when the men start showing signs betrayal or begin to mess up with them.

“Women should not always wait for men to ‘con’ us and ‘drop’ us when they choose,” Naa Belvy said in explaining the concept behind the songs, adding the first step to equality is for women to be able to choose their men and tell them how they feel.

Naa Belvy says she loves afro-pop and afro jazz but listening closely to her three singles, one is in no doubt that she is very versatile and can produce hit songs in various genres when she chooses.

She said she takes a lot of inspiration from Beyonce, Erykah Badu, the late Awura Ama Badu and many other Ghanaian Artistes
