Ghanaian musician Frank Naro shared his thoughts about Asamoah Gyan’s request to join the Ghana Black Star team for the World Cup games on TV3 NewDay. He reasoned that the former captain of the national football team only needs a few months of training to prepare him to go and defend Ghana.

Frank Naro disclosed that he speaks from a place of knowledge concerning his godfather, Asamoah Gyan.

“Someone I move around with and doubling as my godfather, I know what is inside Baby Jet. The talent is there. But for now, just as he said, he sees himself as physically unfit, but if he wants to go to the world cup. I know within two-three months, he can prepare for it.”

According to the ‘Abena’ hitmaker, Asamoah Gyan is essential to Ghana’s football history. He claimed that Gyan’s addition to the team would make a huge difference and tip the scales in Ghana’s favour at the World Cup.

“At least 2 mins of playtime. Even if he (Asamoah Gyan) will not play, the team can benefit from his experience playing in other world cup games. Also, the spirit of the opponent teams will be shaken when they know he is on the team. Because he has set a record in the World Cup games for having the most goals in Africa. So this would help boost Ghana’s morale.

“I think everyone has a reason for doing something. And I know the spirit in my godfather. He can deliver,” he emphasized.
