Staff of Kumasi’s fastest growing radio station Akoma FM, a subsidiary of Media General, have paid a courtesy call on Sompa FM to commiserate with them following the death of radio legend Mmrantehene Yeboah Afari.
The Akoma FM team on Thursday afternoon visited its sister station at Suame as tradition demands to sympathize with staff of Sompa FM and family of the deceased, Mmrantehene Yeboah Afari AKA Man 88.
Mrantehene Yeboah Afari, a stalwart within the media fraternity, passed on Saturday, September 17 after a short illness.
The radio gem was torchbearer within the evening belt of radio in the Ashanti Region with his notable mysterious style and flair of radio programming.
The radio legend, before his sudden demise, was the Akwamuhene of Asokore Mampong.
His death has been a big blow to the radio fraternity and Asanteman in general.
As member of the Media General Group, Akoma FM extends deepest condolences to family, entire staff of Sompa FM and the Asokore Mampong Traditional Council.
The one-week observation is slated for Sunday, September 25 at Asokore Mampong community center behind the Asokore Mampong Rural Bank.
