Afro Nation Ghana 2022 is back home this December and scheduled for the 29th & 30th December 2022 on Marine Drive, Black Star Square, Accra, Ghana. This year’s biggest surprise includes international superstars on the world-class stage all the way from Portugal. Yes, AfroNation is shipping the giant new main stage to Ghana for one of the most anticipated festivals in the diaspora.

Additional, Afro Nation Ghana is bringing in a Europe team to train the local crew on stage setup and management. This training initiative aims to reach a goal that by 2025, the festival stage will be fully managed by the West African team without any external assistance. This plan will also train other local vendors to impact the tourism ecosystem positively.

“Expanding massively since the Portugal debut in 2019, the festival’s giant new mainstage will now be transported to Ghana. A stage of this quality doesn’t exist anywhere else in West Africa and serves as a vital building block for the live industry on the continent. Afro Nation’s aim has always been to elevate the scene and artists from or inspired by the modern sounds of Africa. Establishing this stage in Ghana and bringing the same high production value from Portugal to West Africa, is just one step towards a bright new future of live events in the region. As with Afro Nation Portugal and Afro Nation Puerto RicoAfro Nation Ghana will work alongside and train local teams to produce the show and bring business to as many local vendors as possible, bringing a positive impact to Ghana’s cultural and tourism economy.”

Afro Nation Ghana made its debut entrance in Ghana in 2019 when they collaborated with the Ghanaian government and Benjamin Ntim & Kojo Annan of Event Blackstar Limited to promote the Afrobeat genre and unite the diaspora.

“Afrobeats is a special genre. Not only does it unite the diaspora, but it connects nations in a truly unique way. Our commitment to Afrobeats exists beyond the Afro Nation festival. In 2020, we launched the world’s first official Afrobeats Chart with the Official Charts Company in the United Kingdom. The Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart in the United States followed earlier this year.
