Renowned Actor and UN Ambassador in Ghana for Obstetric Fistula is billed to speak at the’ CASA SHS SUMMIT 2023′ slated for Saturday, June 3, at the University of Ghana.
The summit brings together Senior High School students who want to enter into tertiary institutions for the first time but don’t know which career paths to chart or the courses to choose from.
The actor is expected to share his experience and knowledge and provide career guidance for the students.
The event organized by the Global Star Education Outreach in partnership with the Noble – Afis Educational Consult and UNIGAPS is expected to attract thousands of students from across board.
Other speakers billed to speak at the summit include; Dr Emmanuel Ampofo, Lecturer at the University of Ghana and motivational speaker Dr. Patrick Owusu Asare.
Chief Executive Officer of Nobleaffis Educational Consult, Mohammed kobina Affisah said ” We noticed that each year our educational institutions are churning out huge numbers of students but mostly many students do not know which courses to select right at the point of filling their forms. And some also don’t sit with their parents to guide them this is where we come in to assist. The summit will therefore expose these students to the courses available in the Universities and the choice they have to make so that they don’t end up choosing courses they don’t like. Most of these students even end up abandoning the courses along the way because of the mistake they made right at the onset”. He stressed.
For her part, Financial Secretary of the University of Ghana Psychology Students Association, UNIGAPS, Rhodaline Nyame said they partnered for the event due to the enormous contributions it brings to students.
The event is free for all students and promises to expose students to scholarship opportunities.
