Shooting at Zammrama Line shows Ghana is not ready to fight terrorism – Bonaa

A security analyst, Dr Adam Bonaa has said that the shooting incident that occurred at Zabramma Line in Accra involving a soldier shows that Ghana is not prepared to fight terrorism.
He stated on the mid day news on TV3 Tuesday June 7 that, the development indicates that any person at all can walk into the country and wear a military uniform to engage in criminal act.
His comments come after the Police announced the arrest of a soldier, Sergeant Isaac Abbey and two other persons Godfred Amegbor and Ofei Darko for their alleged involvement in the shooting incident on a disputed piece of land at Zammrama Line, on June 4, 2022.
Suspect Sergeant Isaac Abbey, according to the Police, allegedly injured and shot four people on the said piece of land.
The victims who sustained various degrees of injuries were sent to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for treatment, the Police.
Commenting on this matter, Dr Bonaa said he picked information indicating that the person is not a military officer.
“So should someone tell me that we are fighting terrorism and I will tell you we are not serious.
“This tells you that any terrorist can wear military uniform in Ghana, enter market place and kill people.”
