FixTheCountry Campaign

One of the conveners of the #FixTheCountry campaign, Yaw Moses, has described as welcoming, the Supreme Court Tuesday ruling which quashed an injunction granted by the High Court to stop the campaigners from embarking on a demonstration.

Reacting to the ruling in an interview with Komla Adom on 3FM’s Midday News, Moses said “the rule of law has prevailed”.

FixTheCountry started as an online advocacy championed by young people who demanded for better living conditions in the country.

The campaigners decided to hit the streets in a physical protest but were restrained by a court injunction secured by the Ghana Police Service.

Dissatisfied with the turn of events, the campaigner went to the Supreme Court to seek the a judicial which turned out in their favour.
