The opposition New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, has asked electorates to have confidence in him to transform the Ghanaian economy as he ends a tour of his home region.

The tour saw party big wigs Alan Kyerematen and Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku making surprise appearances on the final day.

Scores of residents and party faithfuls waited at the central business district of the Eastern Region to welcome the NPP flagbearer to the capital of Koforidua.

A teeming crowd converged at the Koforidua taxi rank to be addressed.

Nana Akufo-Addo asked the electorates for a chance to change what he describes as an ailing economy.

Alan Kyerematen and Former Trade Minister Dr Apraku asked electorates to change the John Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, claiming many were experiencing untold hardship.
