Your downfall is next – John Dumelo sends a strong message to Maa Lydia ahead of 2024 election

After the significant victory of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Assin-North constituency, John Setor Dumelo, the 2020 Parliamentary Candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, has directed a warning towards his rival, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.

John Dumelo in the euphoria of the NDC’s triumph took to social media to express his confidence in winning the 2024 elections.

“Lydia Seyram Alhassan. Your downfalll is next!,” the actor-turned-politician posted on Facebook.

Despite his zeal to unseat Madam Alhassan, Dumelo still faces obstacles in his quest for re-election as the Parliamentary Candidate.

The Election Committee of the NDC has postponed his possible re-election due to undisclosed issues.

Additionally, Dumelo finds himself in a contest against his former best friend and best man, Fred Nuamah, for the seat.

Dumelo who was spotted in campaign support for James Gyakye Quayson, the NDC candidate in Assin North on June 16th has been congratulated by party faithful and fans for his dedication.

In the 2020 elections, John Setor Dumelo of the NDC closely failed to unseat the NPP with 37,478 votes while Lydia Seyram Alhassan of the NPP secured 39,851 votes.

Despite being his first attempt, Dumelo has received a commendation for his impressive performance and the noticeable increase in the party’s votes in the constituency.

His statement as usual drew a slew of comments on social media from several quarters.

A fan posted, “If you want to be an MP go to Volta region OK that is a safe heaven for you … ,Madam Lydia’s place is an elect society with educated class , l know you know what am saying”

While another said, “Jorn paa…this seat has been retained but not taken. What is so surprising about this? What really prompted you to make this post”

A fan also assured him of her prayers, stating, ‘Amen  I’ll pray about it on Alpha hour tonight”
