Member of Parliament for Yendi, Farouk Aliu Mahama, has cut sod for the commencement of work on the Kumfong Inner roads.

This latest development comes to add to the ongoing road infrastructure development project aimed at improving the road network within the Yendi municipality.

Interacting with the media after the sod cutting ceremony, Mr Aliu Mahama attributed the massive development springing up in the constituency to the peace and unity in the area.

“The construction of the Kumfong roads after many years of back and forth is a crucial step towards fulfilling a major commitment to the people of this area where I come from. This great achievement will not only contribute to the overall development of the municipality, but also improve the quality of life for the residents.”

He said, his new Yendi city project falls in line with the vision of President Akufo-Addo which seeks to expand infrastructure to improve the economic well-being of citizens.

“Since 2017, President Akufo-Addo with support from his able Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia have prioritized the development of Yendi which is in line with my new Yendi city project and together we have brought Yendi this far.

“This is why we must rally behind the NPP and support Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to become our president in 2025 and with me as your MP Insha Allahu, we shall see the realization of the new Yendi city”

The sod-cutting ceremony will symbolize the official start of the road project.

The road, when completed will facilitate easy movement, beautify the area and improve road safety.
