Some operatives of the National Security on Tuesday rounded up one Apostle Kwabena Owusu Agyei at his Nungua GREDA Estate residence for uttering “certain abusive” words against the Chair of the Electoral Commission and the President.

The man of God was seen in a viral video casting aspersions on Mrs Jean Mensa, who is said to have been annoyed by the words.

Apostle Kwabena Owusu Agyei was arrested in dramatic fashion.

He was granting a live radio interview at his residence when some persons, introducing themselves as coming from the National Security Secretariat, whisked him away.

The interview was being captured on video as well.

The video shows the ‘National Security officers’ holding what they claimed is an arrest warrant.

A video later came out showing Apostle Kwabena Owusu Agyei with substances suspected to be weed in his hands.

No wonder he was charged at a circuit court on three counts including possessing of narcotic drugs.

The first charge is that he issued death threats contrary to Section 75 of the Criminal and Other Offences Act, (Act 29).

The death threats, according to the charge, was to put fear into Mrs Mensa.

The second charge is Offensive Conduct Conducive to the Breach of the Peace. And this is in contrary to Section 207(1) of Act 29.

The third charge is the unlawful possession of substances suspected to be narcotic drug.

This comes as a surprise to many as, at the time of his arrest, shot on camera, he had nothing of that sort whatsoever.

He has been remanded in custody for two weeks.
