A group calling itself ‘Disappointed Youth of NDC Crossing Over to NPP’ says it has written to the police to notify them of an intended demonstration on Tuesday, July 7.

The demonstration will take off at Denu in the Volta Region.

“This development has come as a result of the governments’ inability to rescue the country’s economic crisis,” a statement issued by the group on Tuesday, June 16 said.

It said apart from the economic crisis, erratic power supply, high level of corruption, massive unemployment and neglect of the Region also prompted the action.

The event, according to the statement, is themed: “Ne movitↄ   zu nunyala la, kefefe la nutso” to wit, “If the fool becomes wise, then the game is over.”

According to the plans of the organisers, the mass action will start at the Swansea Beach at Denu to Swansea Avenue Junction through some principal streets of Aflao to the main Ghana-Togo border.

“We are calling on all youth of the ruling party who also feel the heat in the country to join us, as well as everyone who sees the importance in this demonstration to join us,” the statement signed by the group’s chairman, Robert Adjase Tetteyfio, said.
