Veep cuts sod for Hohoe-Jasikan-Dodo Pepesu roads

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has cut sod for construction works on the 88-kilometre Hohoe-Jasikan to Dodo Pepesu stretch of the Eastern Corridor Road to commence. The project forms part of Phase 1 of the $2billion Government of Ghana/Sinohydro Master Project Agreement. Dr. Bawumia cut sod for works to begin at Jasikan on Tuesday, November 19. He was in the company of the Roads and Highways Minister, Kwasi Amoako Atta, and some traditional rulers in the Oti Region. At the sod-cutting ceremony, Vice President Bawumia assured residents of the Oti Region that government would ensure the project is completed on schedule, and they would receive their fair share of development projects. He reiterated government’s plan of fixing all critical roads in the country, stating sods will be cut for the Cape Coast inner city roads and Nyinahini area roads within this week under the government of Ghana-Sinohydro infrastructure for bauxite facility.
