Valentine’s Day: Ghana Post shows love through heavy discounts and celebrity deliveries

Since Monday, February 13, Ghana Post has been using celebrities to deliver items in Kumasi and Accra.

In various Facebook posts, Ghana Post promises Ghanaians to deliver love wherever they send them with heavily discounted rates.

The nation’s designated postal service operator, Ghana Post, is offering lovers the opportunity to share love in a special promo dubbed Vals On Wheels.

The Ghana Post ‘Vals on Wheels’ Promo, instituted last year, enables shoppers, families, and loved ones to express love.

Through the ‘Vals on Wheels’ initiative, Ghana Post delivered a painted portrait to the wife of the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei II, Lady Julia, the Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Prof Rita Akosua Dickson, for her contributions to academia and that of the company.

In Accra, delivery were made to Minister of Communications and Digitalisation Ursula Owusu Ekufful, Ibrahim Mahama, Togbe Afede, Kwame Sefa Kayi, Ernest Ofori Sarpong and many others.

Last year, the Vals on Wheel Promo enabled many Ghanaians to send gifts of love to partners, family, and friends.

According to the Managing Director of Ghana Post, Bice Obour Osei Kuffour, Ghana Post is aware of the current economic challenges worldwide and, therefore, Ghana Post, through the Vals on Wheels promo, is being sensitive to the plight of Ghanaians hence the heavily discounted fees

In a related development, Ghana Post’s management surprises staff with chocolate and cake on 2023 Valentine’s Day.

Celebrities distributed cakes and chocolates to the staff at the Head Office and other offices in Accra.

Across the regions, regional heads distributed chocolates to all the staff.

In total, staff of close to 2000 received chocolates from management as part of the Valentine’s Day promotion.

Celebrities included Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi, aka Dr Likee, Matilda Asante, John Dumelo, DKB, Kalybos, Prince David Osei, Bill Asamoah, Bismark the Joke, Roselyn Nsigah.

It’s been about 13 months since the President appointed the former MUSIGA President, Bice Obour Osei Kuffour, as the Managing Director of Ghana Post.

The Obour-led administration has since been engulfed with strategic plans to grow Ghana Post and reposition it as a critical driver of inclusive socio-economic development in Ghana and the world.
