As part of her efforts in changing the status quo of her people, Debidebi a growing community in the Kpando constituency which had been in the dark over the years, the Member of Parliament Della Sowah has ensured that a project to connect power to the area has been completed.

This was done prior to the festive season last year to allow the residents enjoy the Christmas occasion with electricity.

“This was achieved through my consistent and persistent efforts knocking on doors in the energy sector.

“At one point, I dramatically went to parliament with a 16th century kerosene lamp locally called ‘vinyebu‘ to protest on the floor of parliament,” she said.

She added “Under the SHEP programme in extending electricity, our quest has seen the light of day. I am happy to announce that the project is fully completed.

“I convey profound gratitude to all who were part of this success,” she added.
