V/R: Immigration officers intercept Indian Hemp at Logba

Immigration officers with support from other officers from sister security agencies at Logba check-point in the Afadzato-South District of the Volta Region, have intercepted an Opel Astra car with registration number AS 8242 V loaded with parcels of dried leaves suspected to be India Hemp.

This occurred on Friday October 15.

The leader of the joint patrol team DSI Courage Amegbe who was narrating the story said security officers are prepared to tackle criminals who operate around the catchment area

According to the joint security team, at about 3 : 30 pm Friday, they spotted the Opel Astra car fully loaded with parcels of substance.

Sensing danger, the driver absconded and left the car with the wee substance.

The 216 parcels have however ,been handed to the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) in the presence of the other security services which include, National Investigation Bureau, (NIB) Custom, Police and The Ghana Armed  Forces.
