The accident has caused a heavy traffic jam on the Road, reports say.
Eye witnesses told TV3’s Stephen Kwabena Effah that the truck driver with registration number GN 8893-13 was speeding and not even a signal of a traffic warden could stop him.
He, therefore, rammed the truck into some pedestrians who were about to cross the road at Weija Junction.
Four cars including a Benz Sprinter bus are said to have been involved in the accident at Weija Junction intersection.
A lady in one of the cars has been rushed to the hospital.
More lives would have been lost but for the alertness of the Sprinter bus driver, who had to drive out of the way of the tipper truck.
Officers of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department of the Ghana Police Service are said to have reached the scene and directing traffic.
