Two children are feared dead in a flood as a result of Friday night’s downpour, which lasted for over 3 hours, in Kumasi.
A 9-year old boy and an 8-year old girl, staying at Sawaba and Ayigya Zongo respectively, fell into an overflowing gutter in a separate location.
The boy has been found dead but the girl, Zainab Nasiru-Deen, is yet to be found.
She was said to have attempted to pick her footwear, which accidentally entered into the gutter but tripped and fell into the overflowing water.
Parents, relatives, and friends mounted a search for the girl but have since not been successful.
The father of the girl, Mohammed Nasiru-Deen, has since been hospitalized after receiving the shocking news about his daughter.
