Three TV3 journalists up for 2018 GJA awards

[L-R] Peter Quao Adator, Portia Gabor, and Stanley Nii Blewu[/caption]Three of TV3’s broadcast journalists have been shortlisted for this year’s Ghana Journalists Association awards scheduled for Saturday, October 27. Having worked tirelessly to churn out quality life-transforming stories with the highest journalistic standards, Portia Gabor, Peter Quao Adator and Stanley Nii Blewu have been acknowledged by the GJA and are up to be awarded for their hard work. This is another milestone for the Media General Group, the parent company of TV3, which recently swept six awards in the Radio and Television Personality Awards. Read:Media General stand out with 6 at 2018 RTP Awards Portia Gabor, who already has a GJA award and other awards to her credit will be awarded again for her journalist works within the year 2017. Notably among her work in the year under review is her famous and well commended “Dangerous Highway” documentary. Mr. Adator, an all-round broadcast journalist who has special interests in rural reporting, crime reporting and boxing and has over the years delivered phenomenally in these areas, will be awarded. Mr. Blewu, another all-round broadcast journalist with interests in investigative reporting and rural reporting and currently TV3’s Mission reporter will be honoured by the GJA. Meanwhile, President of the GJA, Roland Affail Monney has encouraged media houses to prioritize committing of resources into investigative journalism. This year’s awards ceremony will be used to promote investigative journalism for effective national development. He is confident producing more investigative journalists will expedite the transformation of the country.
