The National Communications Officer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has described the suit filed by private legal practitioner Richard Dela Sky as an “NPP-sponsored suit”.

A suit filed at the Supreme Court today, March 5, seeks to injunct President Akufo-Addo from assenting to the Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill passed by Parliament.

The suit has since stoked controversy about how the President learned about the yet-to-be-filed suit in his statement on Monday, March 4.

Reacting to the development in a post on his X profile, the outspoken NDC communicator accused President Akufo-Addo of lying to the country and international community about the non-existent suit.

“This legal action is nothing but an NPP-sponsored suit, calculated to serve as a convenient excuse for the President to refuse to assent to the Bill on Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values.
