Tema Police roundsup 9 people for allegedly dealing in illicit drugs

An intelligence led operation by the Tema Police have led to the arrest nine persons suspected to be dealing in illicit drugs at Tulaku, a suburb within the Ashaiman Metropolis. The suspects are Innusah Imoro, 33 years; Nuru Safianu, 18 years; Ali Osman, 25 years; Lawah Bubakari, 27 years; Adoji Nyame, 17 years; Awuf Windima, 32 years; Murinu Ramani, 29 years; Sunday Yakubu Abibira, 26 years and Fuseini Alhassan, 32 years. The Deputy Regional Commander DCOP, Mr Boadu Peprah, led the operation that took place on Friday, May 4, 2018. Items retrieved from the suspects include eight slabs of compressed dried leaves suspected to be cannabis, 40 wraps and a large quantity of dried leaves all suspected to be cannabis. We are going from community to community. We’ve identified all these areas where the criminals are hiding,” he warned. The suspects are being screened after which those found culpable would be charged and arraigned before court.
