Tema EPA boss shot dead in a suspected contract killing

A 48-year old man was Monday dawn shot dead at Tema  in what the Police suspect to be a contract killing.

The man, Mr Ebenezer Fiahagbe, who is the Head of the Environmental Protection Agency in Tema, was shot in the left side of his chest at his residence located at New Dawhenya in the Greater Accra Region.

According to the Police, some armed men broke into the deceased home at about 3:00AM and shot him dead, TV3’s correspondent, Josephine Frempong reports. Family members are said to be tight-lipped on the incident.

Tema Police Public Relations Manager, ASP Juliana Obeng who confirmed the incident said the Police was investigating it to get to the buttom but said they suspect a contract killing.

She said preliminary investigation has revealed the armed men wielded an AK 47 rifle. A total of seven empty AK 47 shells have been retrieved from the scene of the incident.

Meanwhile, the body has been deposited at the Police Hospital
