The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Atiwa West Constituency, Korkor Asante, has urged Zongo Chiefs and Muslim leaders to whip up support for their own, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, Flagbearer of the governing party.
Addressing Zongo Chiefs in the Atiwa West Constituency, she said, the vision of the Flagbearer is to develop more infrastructure in Zongo communities to ensure human resource potentials are empowered.
“I appeal to you to convince all the voters at Kwabeng Zongo, Akropong ,Abomosu, and everywhere to vote for Dr Mahamadu Bawumia and myself to serve this Constituency. Ours is going to be a servant leadership call for development after the 2024 elections,” she said.
The visit to the Atiwa West Zongo Chiefs by Korkor Asante was to offer support to the Zongo Chiefs in the Atiwa West Constituency during the Ramadan period, a period of fasting and almsgiving.
She asked them to pray for the Executive Power and the Country’s Economic Management team to find solutions to the quick recovery from the economic crunch currently being faced by the country.
The Atiwa West Constituency seat was held by the outgone Road and Highways Minister Kwesi Amoako-Atta who did not seek re-election in the January 27 primaries.
Korkor Asante who won the NPP slot against three other men is poised to contribute to the development of the Atiwa West Constituency.
The Atiwa West Constituency is largely Peri Urban with a farming and mining populace and a youthful.
