The spiritualist at the forefront of the lynching of 90-year-old Akua Denteh has been arrested at Yeji in the Bono East Region.

She was arrested by police at Makango.

Police from the Salaga Divisional Police Command have been dispatched to go and bring her.

The spiritualist was invited by the Chief of Kafaba after the youth petitioned him to go for one over claims that their progress has been retarded.

The spiritualist blamed the situation on some 17 witches in community.

Sixteen of these alleged witches admitted to being witches after accusations by the spiritualist in order to save them from the torture at her hands.

But Akua Denteh, 90, refused to admit, leading to severe beatings from the spiritualist.

She died from the wounds sustained on Thursday, July 23.
