Shake-up hits Police Mgt Board; COP Kofi Boakye affected

The Ghana Police Service has yet again rung changes to its management board (POMAB) and some regional commands. Director General of Research and Planning COP Nathan Kofi Boakye has been moved to head Legal and Prosecutions. In his place comes the Central Regional Commander, DCOP Paul Manly Awini, who will have Transformation in addition to Research and Planning. Tema Regional Commander Edward Johnson Oyirifi-Akrofi moves to head the Eastern Regional Police Command. Find all the changes below:

  • COP Mr. Nathan Kofi Boakye is now the Director-General for Legal and Prosecutions.
  • COP Mr. Paul Manly Awini is now the Director-General for Research, Planning and Transformation.
  • DCOP Mr. Johnson Oyirifi-Akrofi is now the Eastern Police Regional Commander.
  • DCOP Mr. Frederick Adu-Anim is now the Director-General for Information, Communication Technology (ICT).
  • DCOP Mr. Paul Ayittey is now the North East Police Regional Commander.
  • DCOP Barima Tweneboah Sasraku II is now the Tema Police Regional Commander.
  • DCOP Mr. Afful Boakye-Yiadom is now the Accra Police Regional Commander.
  • DCOP Mr. Charles Domanban is now Oti Police Regional Commander.
  • DCOP Mrs. Habiba Akyere Twumasi -Sarpong is now the Central Police Regional Commander.
