Seven suspected robbers nabbed with 35 laptops, flat screen TVs

Seven suspected armed robbers are in the grips of the Accra Regional Police Command for various robberies in parts of the national capital.

The suspects, robbed about ten homes along the Spintex Road, Baatsonaa, Adenta and its environs.

On August 9, at about 10am, complainants  reported various robbery cases in the abovementioned vicinities.

According to the Accra Regional Police Command, acting upon a tip off, a suspect Kwaku Amoah Ibrahim was  arrested with 35 laptops and 6 flat screen television sets at Kaneshie.

The suspect led the police to arrest his  accomplices, according to Dcop Christian Tetteh Yohuno, Accra Regional Police Commander.

“They carry out this operation averagely within 15-20 minutes. Immediately after your apartment has been ransacked, the accomplice with a taxicab drives into your yard and they confidently load the items into the taxi. During the interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime and led the police to about 10 residences all within the areas that have been mentioned”.

The police said the suspects carried out their operations in residential areas and targeted victims particularly  on Sundays between  6 and 11am morning when most residents had  left their houses for church services.

In a related development, 40-year old Natasha Bawah, has been arrested at his hideout in Kumasi for allegedly murdering a Canadian citizen Eddie Murphy Sullymana who was on vacation in Ghana.
